A Wandering Soul

I was house sitting + kid watching this past week in my old neighborhood. This is the readers digest version of a conversation that commenced. The younger one, Sara, asks me..so why do you travel so much? Don’t you have a boyfriend? Aren’t you supposed to get married soon? (she just found out my age). Her brother, Parker, was mortified and said, “Sara! She’s a free spirit. She can do whatever she wants..”

Thanks Parker. Haha..

My favorite professor at BYU once said

“Reality is one’s own perception of truth filtered through all of life’s experiences.”-Tom Russell

Nothing could ring truer for me.I love humans, and I aspire to acquire memories, create relationships, and learn everything I can of love from nature while I am still here.

The Tale of The Exploding Bird

The Tale of

The Exploding Bird

Combustion. Many a times i have imagined myself exploding in pure frustration or pure joy.

This morning I was taking out the garbage in my backyard and i heard a noise like a poof! i looked back to see if i had dropped something out of the two huge bags i was carrying..but i didnt see anything so i continued on my way and threw the bags into the dumpster out back and as i was coming back into my house i see a pile of feathers next to our deck. i walked over and saw that there was a dead nude baby bird in the middle of the feathers. i was so weirded out..but there you have it…an exploded baby bird..

My brothers came up with many viable scenarios. but why try and justify the obvious (it exploded) with boring scientific answers?
